Ideas to improve kOOL

The more users the more ideas pop up. The following list tries to keep track of open ideas, that have not yet been thought through completely.

Any efforts to add them to kOOL are welcome: A complete feature description, some algorithms or patches.

New display methods for addresses

Let the addresses be displayed in different views to meet different needs, e.g.:

- family list: Show information about families in a well organised layout

- group view: display members of a group with their datafield data and maybe some summaries

Booking extension for TYPO3

Use the reservation object in kOOL for a booking application inside a TYPO3 webpage. The user can find available time spans for reservations and can book them directly on the webpage. This could be done in form of a wizard like with hotel booking applications e.g.

Forgotten your password?

Let the user change his password when logged in. Maybe define some minimal length or characters. Have the users change their password regularly.

Add a secure way to request a forgotten password.

Google map

Export addresses or small groups to google map. Maybe base it on the TYPO3 extension wec_map.

Repository for kOOL plugins

Sooner or later it will be necessary to manage the kOOL plugins in an online repository. This would ease the management and finding of plugins.

A second step might be to download plugins directly through the Tools module of kOOL.
